Who is Jesus?

Greetings to everyone... The Day we've all been waiting for.

It's the 1st of July, a new month, that surely will be blessed! But without further ado, let us dive into the word of God and let us answer the question... WHO IS JESUS?

In a world full of different opinions and interpretations, it's important for us to go back to the source - The Bible - for us to truly understand and unpack, who Jesus truly is.

He is not just a historical figure or a religious leader as we'll say, but He is God revealed to mankind, the Savior of the World, and the embodiment of God's love.

John chapter 1 verse 1-3 says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made, without Him nothing was made that has been made."

verse 14 says, "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth".

This scripture reveals to us that Jesus is the eternal word of God - He has always existed. He is God himself, the Word made flesh, through whom everything was created.

How was He Born?

Isaiah chapter 7 verse 14 says, "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: The virgin (Mary) will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call Him Immanuel."

Jesus was Born of the Virgin Mary (The mother of Jesus, who was chosen by God) by the power of the Holy Spirit, fulfilling the prophecy that God would dwell among us. He came not as a king in a palace, but as a humble servant, born in a manger.

Why was He Sent?

The heart of the Gospel is this - Jesus was sent to Save, Not to condemn. His purpose was love.

John chapter 3 verse 16-17 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him."

God saw the brokenness of Humanity and chose to offer a way back to Him - through Jesus. His life, death, and resurrection were all part of a divine plan to redeem us and give us eternal life. Now is that not just True love?

Who Jesus is to us now?

Jesus is not just someone who lived in the past many many many years ago. He is alive today, and He continues to be OUR WAY, OUR TRUTH, and OUR LIFE.

John chapter 14 verse 6 says, "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me'".

Jesus is our Savior, our Advocate, our Shepherd, our Peace. He is the bridge between God and man, the one who gives us access to the Father. In this world filled with confusion, He remains the absolute TRUTH.

Jesus is not a myth or just some distant figure of the past - He is the living Son of God who invites you into relationship with Him. He came for YOU, and his arms remain open.

If you've ever asked yourself, "Who is Jesus", the answer is this:

He is God with us, Savior of the World, and the Only way to eternal life.

I'll leave you with this scripture: Romans chapter 10 verse 9, "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord', and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved".
