Lost But Not Left

 Good Day All

I hope everyone is Blessed and ready for this week.

Our next topic is:

Lost But Not Left - When You Feel Far From God.

There are seasons in your life where you just don't feel God.

You pray but it feels like no one is listening.

You read scripture but the words feel dry.

You go to church but your heart feels numb.

And somewhere deep down, we start to wonder, "Has God left me?"

You May feel lost, but you are never left.

When God feels Far.

If you've ever felt distant from God, you're not alone.

Even King David - Known as a man after God's heart - once cried out:

"How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?" - Psalm 13 verse 1

That cry echoes the hearts of many believers. It's a real part of the Christian journey.

But what we feel is not always what's true. Feelings can change, but God's faithfulness never does.

God Hasn't Moved.

"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you, he will never leave you nor forsake you" - Deuteronomy 31 verse 8

God doesn't leave when things get hard, He doesn't distance himself when we're struggling. But instead, those are often the moments when He is the closest.

Even if your emotions tell you He's silent, the truth is that He is near - working behind the scenes, holding you together, and guiding you gently back to Him.

You're Not Too Far Gone.

Jesus tells the story of a Shepherd who leave the 99 sheep to go after the 1 that wandered.

"Doesn't he leave the ninety-nine.. and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?". - Luke 15 verse 4

You may feel like the one who's wandered, but the Shepherd is coming for you.

Not with shame

Not with punishment

But with open arms and a heart full of love.

Nothing Can Separate You.

Sometimes we think our distance from God is because we've failed Him.

But the Bible reminds us:

"Nothing can Separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord" - Romans 8 verse 38-39

Not sin

Not silence

Not sorrow

His love remains. Constant. Unshaken.

How To Find Your Way Back.

If you're feeling far from God right now, here is how we can reconnect:

Sit in Stillness:

Sometimes the best thing to do is simply be. God is in the stillness. He speaks in the silence. - (1 Kings 19 verse 12)

Open the Word:

Even if it feels dry at first, scripture is living and active. Start in Psalms - David's raw emotions may echo your own.

Worship Anyway:

Music can often speak to your soul when words fail. Let worship songs carry your heart into His presence.

Talk To Someone:

God can speak through people. Reach out to a trusted friend, your Pastor, or a Mentor.

You're not alone in this walk.

The Truth You Need to Hear.

Even if you don't feel Him, God is near.

Even if you've walked away, God is still pursuing you.

Even if you're hurting, God is still holding you.

You are lost - but not left.
